25mm set screws were welded to the cabin and hull sides. These were used to fix wooden battening to so that the lining wood could be installed. |
The cabin sides and roof were painted from the saloon to the bathroom (after being rubbed down) in a combination of hammerite and red oxide. |
The floor and hull sides were also rubbed down and painted in red oxide. | Insulation (Kingspan - a high U-value insulator) was cut and fit between the wooden battens. The gas fire kept the inside of the boat warm and condensation free. |
