All the doors are constructed from 4mm sheet steel, 1' by 3' per door. | Left hand side engine room doors open (view from front). 3mm x 25mm strip was welded around the edges of the doors to improve aesthetics as well as to reduce the amount of water penetrating the cabin. |

Engine mounted centrally in the engine bay on a square tubular frame. The generator is located in rough position behind the engine. The mounting frame for the generator cannot be finished until the hull is seam welded. | Close up of engine mounting frame and engine mounted to it via four M12 bolts.
