UPDATE TWO
Right hand side rubbing strake nearly finished (upper fillet welded in, lower still to be completed). Stem post and bow fillets seam welded (to make the hull water tight). The area around the portholes was wire brushed in and out. These were then painted to prevent rust forming before and after the portholes are installed.
A view from the end of the fore deck. All the roof equipment (mushroom vents and bulls' eyes as well as the lounge stove chimney collar. The surrounding areas were wire brushed and painted prior to installation.

A close up of a bull's eye (left) and a mushroom vent (right). The bull's eye lets light into the cabin and the mushroom vent allows the boat to "breathe".
